The proprietor of Ruby's Threads Plus is Ruby Ferguson.

Rubys Threads Plus has been operating on Brisbane's southside for 5 years.

The business began operating out of a need for a specialist Embroidery outlet to cater for the needs of the area between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Ruby has had an interest in embroidery since her teenage years. As a younger person she wanted to be a Home Economics Teacher but changed her mind and went into teaching young children. The need to follow her interest in embroidery could not be surpressed. She has enjoyed learning the techniques Cross Stitch, Brazillian Embroidery, Creative Embroidery, Canvaswork, Crewel work, Gold Work,Hardanger, Stumpwork ,Japanese Embroidery and Spanish Moorish Cutwork

Recently Ruby had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Royal School of Needlework in Hampton Court, London for workshops. Rubys enjoys imparting her knowledge and helping others whenever she can.
